Insurance nightmare
So, once again being a media type has given me untold benefits, oh, wait, no it hasn't. Yep, that's right, it's insurance renewal time and the quotes have been silly. Still, I've managed to get a combined figure of around five hundred of your english pounds for both car and home which is a lot better than some companies were charging. All this talk of recession etc must not apply to Insurance companies...

Sounds like a bargain to me. $2000 for the house and $700 for the car for me.
Regarding talk of recession, I hear and read that demand is the reason for high prices of oil, however, the tv news here just reported that Houston TX is one place in the US where there's a boom instead of a recession as they reap the benefit of high oil prices...one lady buying 3 rolex watches and a rare diamond ring...and million dollar plus houses are in big demand!!!! I think we need to get some lessons from the French on how to have a revolution!!
