We both had the day off today so we decided to make the most of it and went to see Slumdog Millionaire. There's been loads of hype about it as it's winning loads of film awards so we figured it would be a good option. It's actually quite good, a bit harrowing in parts though. I can also see how it might not be the best public image for India though and I think there's been some complaints about it there.
We've not really done very much else for a while, it was His Lordship's birthday last Wednesday, we went out for a meal to Chiquitos. It was quite full given there is supposed to be a credit crunch on!! I bought him the Dad's Army box set, some jeans, a few work tops and a new belt. We also went out on Saturday night to see one of my favourite DJs Meat Katie and he was once again brilliant.

wish I had been at the Meat Katie gig. Dad
I thought Slumdog was good but not great. Some of it reminded me of the mischief we used to get up to on the Kelvin.
I have been looking for the Dads Army set but can't find one that includes EVERY episode. Does the box set have them all?
it has all the surviving episodes yes, it wasn't cheap though, but is still on sale at HMV, I don't know if they do mail order to the US though.
Can you send me the name of the actual box set. I will order on Amazon

Bought it. I have a DVD player here that plays Region Two coded DVD's from the UK.
