EARTHQUAKE!

So, during a very important conversation with Robert Smith from The Cure I was rudely awaken by the bed moving and the noise of the wardrobe swishing about at about 1:00am. His Lordship was also woken up and I sprung out of bed saying "what's going on??", I looked out of the window to see other bedroom lights being switched on and turned to him and said "I bet it's an earthquake". He dismisses this, saying "It'll be a train". We're not close to a railway line so I knew it wasn't that.

So, fastforward to 8am, we get up and look at some news sites on the internet and it turns out to be the biggest earthquake since 1984 and it's right where Ma and Pa live. I rang them, they are ok, but they too felt the bed moving. HOW EXCITING!? I rang work to see if we're covering it, and it turns out police have had over 200 calls in our area alone!

5.2 it measured and may not sound like much but pretty much all the country has felt it!

It was noisy and scary. I was too tired and scared to get out of bed, couldn't decide whether I was having a heart attack or I was dreaming. Not to be recommended again let me say.
A newsworthy day for you, still better than the usual murders, rape and pillage that we get.

I feel left out, everyone's felt an earthquake but me. On second thought, I'll pass on the experience, probably a lot like a tornado and just the thought of those scare the daylights out of me.

Gina, your post brings some questions to mind.

Why are you talking or dreaming with Robert Smith at 1 am?

Who are the Cure?

Are you sure it is a wise choice of partner when he guesses a train but you are not near one and probably haven't heard them in the past?

I don't remember the 1984 earthquake...actually in hindsight, it could have been in Stoke...check it out.

I have heard of the Cure but not Robert Smith. Is he worth talking to??
